There are a lot of different theories that have swirled around for ages about how a woman’s diet around the time of conception can have an impact on the gender of her baby. Now modern science has begun to examine the link between what a woman eats around the time of conception and the gender of her child.

Various studies have suggested that the following dietary guidelines can influence the conception of a baby boy:

1) Consume A Large Quantity Of Calories

Study after study has strongly suggested a correlation between high caloric intake and the conception of a boy. While you clearly don’t want to eat unhealthy food, having extra calories in your diet might help tilt the odds in favor of your having a son.

2) Consume Foods With A High Quantity Of Sodium

You’ll have to speak to your doctor to strike the right balance when it comes to sodium intake. However, studies have suggested that increased quantities of sodium around the time of conception can help foster the conception of a boy.

3) Consume Foods With A Lot Of Potassium

This is perhaps the easiest dietary strategy that can result in a woman conceiving a baby boy. In short, eat a lot of bananas and other healthy foods high in potassium.

In general, women who had sons are also more likely to eat a very healthy diet rich in calcium and vitamins C, E and B-12.
